Grownup Playhouse - Who are we?
Grownup Playhouse was founded at the end of 2023 by Tom Rolph.
Over the last 2 years at the Edinburgh Fringe all of our shows have brought in 4 star reviews and we have sold over 5000 tickets.
This year Grownup Playhouse is taking up five projects to the Edinburgh Fringe, including four musicals and a murder mystery tour. Grownup Playhouse is taking up The Detective’s Demise, Escape Room: The Musical, Milly’s Musical Adventure, Charming! The Musical and Murder on the Mile.
Tom Rolph
Founder/Creative Director/Librettist/ Lyricist/Composer/Director/ Musical DirectorTom founded Grownup Playhouse in late 2023 with the aim of taking up The Detective’s Demise to next year’s Fringe. Things snowballed and 3 years on he has written four musicals, one comedy sketch show, a murder mystery tour of the Fringe and a musical children’s picture book.
Each year Grownup Playhouse has grown bigger and better and has worked with countless incredibly talented people that Tom feels honoured to have had an opportunity to learn from and with.
Tom is looking forward to seeing where Grownup Playhouse goes in 2026 and what new heights the company can reach!
Important Grownups!
Michael Rincon
Michael has been working with Grownup Playhouse for over 2 years now. He has worked on The Detective’s Demise, Escape Room: The Musical, Milly’s Musical Adventure and Charming! The Musical, as well as making short comedy songs for social media with Tom Rolph.
Michael graduated the University of Southampton with a degree in music. And as well as working on Musical Theatre, Michael is in multiple bands covering a number of genres.

Joe Sartin
Joe has been working with Grownup playhouse for almost 2 years. He first worked on To Be A Prince (now known as Charming! The Musical) and he then went on to work on Milly’s Musical Adventure.
He worked on the composition, lyrics, and arrangement, as well as helping record the songs you can currently hear on the Milly’s Musical Adventure youtube channel!

Adam has worked with Grownup Playhouse on two projects in the last two years. He has helped to composer and arrange Charming! The Musical and Milly’s Musical Adventure.

Artist/DesignerCharlotte Connelly
Charlotte has been working on posters and designs for Grownup Playhouse for the last 2 years. Starting with The Detective’s Demise poster, she has since designed aspects of every poster for Grownup Playhouse, Murder on the Mile, all illustrations in Milly’s Musical Adventure, as well as helping to format for all different occassions.
